What the work looks like
Userfeel runs usability tests for product teams. You record your screen and your voice while you complete tasks on a website or app and say your thoughts out loud as you go. Userfeel says most tests last 20 minutes, and you take them in your native language or another language you list as fluent.
Getting in
Register as a tester, watch the training video and read the FAQ, because Userfeel says you will not be paid otherwise. Then fill in your profile and take the qualification test. It is unpaid, it checks that your microphone works and that you can think aloud, and you may need to take it more than once. Tests are assigned to you only when you match the demographic criteria of the client. The link on Remotesme opens the Userfeel home page, so look for the Get paid to test or Register as a tester link there.
Pay
Userfeel lists $3 for a 5 minute test, $10 for 20 minutes, $20 for 40 minutes and $30 for 60 minutes. Approved payments reach your Userfeel wallet in about a week. You can be paid by PayPal, or by bank transfer in some countries. Clients rate each paid test, and higher ratings lead to more assigned tests.
Worth knowing
- Userfeel promises no minimum number of tests, so treat it as occasional income.
- A payment can be refused if you skip tasks, do not speak your thoughts aloud, have unclear or noisy audio, record the wrong screen, or give misleading answers about yourself.
- Using a VPN is not allowed, and you must be a native speaker of the language you list as your native one.
- You need a Windows 10 or newer PC, a Mac, a phone or a tablet, plus a microphone.
Before you join
Tests are assigned only when you match a client’s demographics, and volume is not guaranteed. The link opens Userfeel’s home page, where you choose the tester sign-up.
