What the work looks like

Handshake AI Fellowship roles ask subject experts to write challenging questions in their field and check AI answers for accuracy, logic and rigor. The roles we have listed describe flexible, project-based contract work of about 5 to 20 hours a week while a project is active.

Worth knowing

  • Many roles require a PhD or postdoc, or a master's degree plus industry experience.
  • Eligibility rules apply. Some roles are open only with Canadian work authorization, and some say F-1 students on CPT or OPT may qualify while STEM OPT is not supported.
  • Work depends on active projects, so hours are not guaranteed.
