What the work looks like
Claru sells training data for robots and other physical AI systems. Contributors record first-person phone video of everyday tasks, such as kitchen work, laundry, cleaning, lawn work, hands-on assembly, sewing and walking routes. Claru says more than 10,000 contributors have joined from over 100 countries.
Getting in
You create a contributor profile with your location, phone or other equipment, experience and interests. Claru then checks it against the needs of its open projects. A profile does not guarantee a match. If you are matched, you see the brief first: the task, the setup, the acceptance criteria, any consent or rights requirements, and the pay. You decide whether to take the project after reading it.
Pay
Pay is set per project and stated in the brief. Submissions are checked against the acceptance criteria, and accepted work is paid under the terms of that project. Claru does not publish rates or a payment schedule on its contributor page.
Worth knowing
- Work is project-based and Claru says it is not guaranteed, so availability depends on the projects open to your location.
- Eligibility can depend on location, age, equipment and environment. A compatible phone, or a specific camera or mount, may be required.
- Your recordings may show people, property or workplaces, so you are expected to follow privacy rules and get any consent a project asks for.
Before you join
Projects are matched to your location, equipment and experience, and each project brief states its pay before you join. Check eligibility and pay on the platform.
